I just used a box of funfetti cake mix to make cupcakes (my favorite kind) and waited until they cooled. I had chocolate frosting and leftover vanilla frosting from some cookies I had made. I just used a big tip and swirled it back and forth. I used the smallest tip I could find to put the lines on it...except that was hard because the icing was pretty thick. Next time I think I'll let the icing sit at room temperature longer before I try to ice. Still, they turned out pretty nicely!
